Basse - Miller or Miller Cemetery
Listed on some lists as : Bassey - Miller

The "Miller Cemetery" in Venedy Township is on the original farm of Peter Miller, a French immigrant who arrived in Venedy in 1848.
Because he was Catholic and Venedy was Lutheran; when his son died in 1850, he was buried on the farm, and not at the Venedy Church. This was the start of the cemetery.
Seven of the nine children of Peter Miller are buried there, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren, etc. Many graves are unmarked as well. I have worked hard to try to establish everybody buried there.
The cemetery is still owned by descendants of Peter Miller.

A granddaughter of Peter Miller married a Basse and they lived there on the farm; and the current owner is a descendant of these Basse's. However, the cemetery has always been known as "Miller Cemetery", and is recorded as that at the courthouse, as well as the death certificates of the people buried there.
