      Battle of Nashville on December 15 & 16, 1864
      Siege of Fort Blakely on April 9, 1865
Mustered out July 15, 1865 in Mobile, Alabama.

At the age of 93 years, he died on October 14, 1934 on his farm
      3 miles west of Gillespie, Macoupin Co., IL.
