Monday September 26, 1910 DuQuoin Evening Call John DOERFLEIN An aged and highly respected German living southwest of DuQuoin was buried Saturday, A mention of which was made in the Saturday Call. Mr. Doerflein was born in Germany and came to this country about fifty years ago, locating first in O'Fallon county, Where he remained four or five years and then moved to this community, Where he had resided ever since. His wife preceded him to the grave several years ago. Mr. doerflein was the father of four children; two daughrters and two sons; both sons, John Jr. and George being being dead their wives live southwest of this city. His two daughters, Mrs. Louis Struck, southwest of DuQuoin and Mrs. Otto Laymanof Chicago, are the only near relatives, with the exception of sixteen grandchildren, four of whom live in Chicago and the remainder residing south and southwest of DuQuoin.
